Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Residential Solar Sales Manager to lead our residential solar sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing sales operations, managing a team of sales representatives, and driving revenue growth by promoting solar energy solutions to homeowners. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, team leadership, and hands-on sales expertise in the residential solar market.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of residential solar sales representatives.
- Set individual and team sales targets, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching to ensure goals are met.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement strategies to improve team productivity.
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to generate leads and close deals in the residential solar market.
- Identify new market opportunities and build relationships with homeowners, real estate agents, and community organizations.
- Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to contract signing, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Customer Engagement:
- Educate homeowners on the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact, and available incentives.
- Conduct in-home or virtual consultations to assess customer needs and present tailored solar solutions.
- Maintain strong customer relationships to drive referrals and repeat business.
- Market Analysis & Reporting:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to stay ahead in the residential solar sector.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Compliance & Process Improvement:
- Ensure all sales activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Collaborate with operations and installation teams to streamline processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 3+ years of experience in solar sales, renewable energy, or a related field, with at least 1-2 years in a sales leadership role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a residential sales environment.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of solar energy systems, financing options, and industry incentives.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data and develop actionable sales strategies.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for in-home consultations.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet customer schedules.
